My best thrift find of this month was this raincoat. *ribbit*

"About You": Lyrical magic that is both nostalgic and heartbreaking; especially the bridge.

"Candy Man": A thirsty 80s song. Tease your hair and dance to this one.

"Roses are Red": Starts out questionably with the harpsichord, but commit and you'll be transported to cruising in a convertible with the top down headed toward a Friday happy hour.

"Traveling Man": A sad country song featuring a harmonica. Play it ready to cry.

I woke up to a phone call from my sister and her asking, "How did the house hold up? ''. I, still in bed, said, "Great, she's a champ".

I started my day and began to get ready in my closet-room. Jamming and pampering, I decided to open the window for some natural light....and then I saw it...the little metal shed had taken flight and crawled across the backyard due to the 70 mph winds. I was flabbergasted and a bit embarrassed that I hadn't heard the metal ruckus that I am sure that thing caused. I'm just glad it didn't end up on Federal.

We got the coveted golden ticket to Casa Bonita. It was better than I remembered and all ages had a great time.

I'd love to hear the story of the original owner's vision and dream because they truly did bring a piece of magic into the city. To think that we have this gift, to bring some magic and whimsy into the everyday is inspiring.

Found this beauty at Habitat for Humanity. Each little section was four hundred dollars. If I didn't currently live in 900 square feet, she would have been mine.

My new morning meditation spot.

Saturday morning wandering on South Broadway. Quite picturesque, however, on the opposing angle of this photo was a pile of feces with questionable origin.

Aztec dancers held a ceremony at the corner of 46th and Lowell to honor the eclipse.

The view from my stoop: My freshly weeded garden beds and the most perfect clouds.

An artistic angle of a grueling workout at Red Rocks.

My favorite outfit from April. The red boots are my newest accessory and my latest obsession.

If they were brunettes, I would have claimed them. Vintage oddities are my favorite.

A preserved Downtown History is my idea of beauty. I had to capture her essence as I made my way to watch Game Five of the Nugget's playoff series.

Crafting this baby chair I found at the thrift. My vision is to use her as shelving in my kitchen.

Wash Park is in full bloom.

What's a landscaper without her cowboy hat?

Five days in the Nation's capital were spent sightseeing by foot and by scooter. I saw nearly all the National Monuments and a neighboring little cites (Alexandria, VA).

The city itself felt intentional: men in blue suits on every block hurrying to their meetings, tourists coming to learn about some history, and the architecture itself telling a story and maintaining a memory. My only complaint was that the food scene was lacking; however, I would absolutely go again (I got my plane ticket for $130). Next time, I plan to go and treat it as "home base" and then train to both Philly and NY.

Woman: The Portal of Souls - I encountered her glory in the bathroom of an art gallery in Alexandria, VA. She was a small 3X4 inch tile, but her presence took over the room. I wish I could have scraped her off the wall and brought her home with me.

Happy Hour with the Shot-O-Pus.

Enjoyed a Rockies Game from the Rock-Pile. Highlight of the game was my pretzel with cheese and seeing Dinger.

Running along the water that separates Maryland from Virginia was a highlight of my trip to D.C. I loved the water and the ease of running at a lower altitude.

Brianna is a proud native of West Denver and she is an avid admirer of the arts. Her admiration of the arts is centered around her draw toward the beautiful and good of everyday life. Brianna finds beauty in a well-worn book, in the eclectic colors and textures of a thrift store find, and in the sound of a killer guitar solo whether it be live or through a well thought out Spotify playlist. Her passions are varied and many, but they all center on appreciating the fullness of life.
