March brought warmer weather and the promise of summer freedom.

"Her Strut": This song was already on repeat for me this month, but then a man on Broadway said to me; "Excuse me, I just have to compliment you on your walk. It's just so powerful, yet still so feminine.". And that was the best compliment I received all month.

"Too Sweet" is a new release from my beloved Hozier. His lyricism and moody tip of the hat to the genre of blues wins me every time. Plus, as a woman who drinks her coffee black and whiskey neat, I felt like the song was written by me.

"Baby Be Mine": This song has been a favorite since childhood as it is an original on the "Thriller" album by Michael Jackson. It is soft, resonating, and just so sweet like a lullaby.

How many Montoyas does it take to build a children's play set?

One of my favorite outfits from the month (and of all time). I wore this to the Pow Wow this year.

I will be forever jealous of this girl's custom plate.

Found a new lovely patio on Denver's first 70 degree day. It was at Lady Nomada. The drinks were sub par, but the aesthetic was 10/10.

At the annual Easter Egg Dying party with the family...and the beloved bunny who has been with us since our First Easters.

My moving help was caught snacking on the job.

Random, but I love the new light posts they put in my local park. They are solar powered and look like sprouts. It is a great example of sustainable and intentional design that brings some joy and beauty.

A cheeky photo to document my 2 day snowday.

A Mile in March: I challenged myself to run a mile each day this month ( I have never loved long-distance...as these hams were made for sprinting). I made great progress each day and I found myself looking forward to it. So much so that I am planning to do a Swim/Run/Bike Triathlon Sprint this coming fall.

Giving the new home a fresh coat of white paint as I want it to serve as a canvas for future murals.

One of my favorite outfits from the month. The skirt is a new thrift and I received so many great compliments on it.

The face my oppents make when I beat them in pool.

Moving was my main form of exercise this month...espeically when moving the contents of my closet.

Sign me up.

Some "art" my students left for me.

This sweet boy was dressed beautifully at this year's Pow Wow. If you have never been, I highly encourage you to indulge in the Native American culture that is so deeply rooted in our American Culture. Their dancing, singing, and vestments will bring you to tears...well, at least it does that to me. Especially when they all dance to the music of the drum circle. I think I will write a longer post about this soon as it really deserves more attention and love.
Picture
My students are so sweet and generous to each other. We are a tight knit group as most of my students are migrants and they go out of their way to make each other feel loved and included.

The "Barbie Cake" has been around in the family since my 1st birthday and has made many appearances since. This year, I decided to bake and decorate her for the Easter Party. She was a hit and everyone was pumped to see her. Also, I loved taking the time to "make" her dress. This photo shoot was her very own #ootd as her bunny fans looked on.

This made me laugh on my morning commute. I got on the side of him and gave him a thumbs up.

Brianna is a proud native of West Denver and she is an avid admirer of the arts. Her admiration of the arts is centered around her draw toward the beautiful and good of everyday life. Brianna finds beauty in a well-worn book, in the eclectic colors and textures of a thrift store find, and in the sound of a killer guitar solo whether it be live or through a well thought out Spotify playlist. Her passions are varied and many, but they all center on appreciating the fullness of life.
